POPCORN BALLS RECIPES
SIMPLE AND EASY


This is a very special time, called family time.
The kids just love making candy Popcorn Balls.
They get to have their hands in the butter and squish it
between their fingers, and have just lots, and lots of fun.

Kids or Mom can get real creative. You can make them the old
fashion way, which is just plain. You can decorate them for
Halloween or Christmas with different kinds of candy.
Make funny faces or ornaments for Christmas.
But most of all enjoy that wonderful family togetherness.


I'm almost sure I don't need to
tell you how to Pop Popcorn.

You can do it the old fashion way
With the Pan, oil covering the bottom
of the pan.
Pour in a half cup of popcorn.
Wait for it to start popping,
and then cover it with a lid.
Shake the pan back and forth
until the corn stops popping.
Then dump into a rectanguler pan.

Or.........Just buy Microwave Popcorn.
Pop as many bags as you would need to fill the pan. Keep in warm oven 250 degrees while you make your syrup, or whatever.


Now this is where you get creative
with the ingredients.

Let's start with the old fashion recipe first.
1/2 Cup Karo corn syrup
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

In a medium saucepan add the ingredients.
Stir until sugar is totally disolved. 3-5 minutes.
Pour over popcorn in pan. Use two wooden spoons and stir
until mixed. (you can add nuts at this time, if you want)
Let cool slightly. Butter up those hands and create





Now lets try some new and easy recipes. Prepare your popcorn
the exact same way. Put it in the oven to stay nice and warm.

Buy a bag of Kraft caramels, melt them like it says on
the bag.
(optional) add nuts, whatever you like. Stir into melted
caramel mixture. Now pour over the pan of popcorn. Use two
wooden spoons and stir until mixed. Cool slightly. Butter
hands. Make popcorn balls.

Next creation, use the recipe for Rice Krispy Treats, just leave out the rice krispies and substitute popcorn.
Bag of marshmallows and 6 Tbls. Butter. Melt, stirring
constanley, pour over popcorn. Stir with wooden spoons.
Cool slightly. Butter Hands. Make popcorn balls. Enjoy.

Last one--Very easy. Melt Giant Hershey Bar and make Chocolate Popcorn balls. Pour melted chocolate over popcorn. Stir with
wooden spoons. Cool slightly. Butter hands.
Make Popcorn Balls. Enjoy.
