DON'T LET THIS CHOCOLATE TURTLE RECIPE CRAWL AWAY!
This chocolate turtle recipe is so easy. Once you have all of your ingredients laid out on the table, I'm sure that, including baking time, we are talking no more than 30 minutes.
Personally I like to make these turtles the size of my hand. But if you do that you must double the recipe.

Here we go................. Ingredients:
90 Pecans (Can use Almonds or Cashews) 36 Caramels 2-1oz squares of Candy Making Chocolate or Large Hershey Bar-can use dark or white chocolate On buttered cookie sheet arrange 90 Pecans. Flat side down, in groups of five. (4 legs and 1 Head) Place 2 caramels on each cluster of Pecans. Heat in slow oven at 325 degrees till caramels soften, about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, melt 2-1oz squares candy making chocolate or giant Hershey Bar. Remove candies from oven. With buttered spatula flatten caramels over pecans. Cool, remove from cookie sheet to waxed paper. Spread or drizzle melted chocolate on top of turtle. This recipe will make one and a half dozen small turtles. Double this recipe to make large size turtles.
I have 2 extra recipes that you can make if you happen to have any melted chocolate left. 1. Take the melted chocolate and add Spanish Peanuts to it. Stir. Drop by the spoonful on wax paper. Cool. You have just made Peanut Clusters 2. Use the melted Chocolate and add Almonds. Stir and pour on to a buttered cookie sheet and spread out thin. Cool. Break into pieces. You have just made Almond Bark.
