WHITE CHOCOLATE SNOWMAN, DECORATED WITH CLASS.
CHOCOLATE SNOWMAN
This craft is so easy to prepare once you get pass making the RICE CRISPY MIX.
So let's begin with the hard part first.
Prepare recipe for Rice Crispy Mix:
In large sauce pan put 1/4 cup butter and melt it over low heat.
Add one package of marshmallows to pan and continue to stir until smooth and creamy.
In a large bowl put 6 cups of rice cereal. Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal. Mix with wooden spoon until blended. Let cool to touch. Spray hands with Pam Spray.
Now is the time to get your hands sticky.
Now that the mixture is cool to the touch. Dig into the cereal mixture and make 3 different size balls.
Head, middle, bottom. When placed on top of each other they look like a snowman.
Now let's take apart the snowman.
Take white chocolate and melt to a creamy consistency. Put each of the 3 pieces in the chocolate, and roll it around until covered.
At this point I start to put the chocolate snowman back together. Stacking each piece on top of the other. The chocolate acts as a glue.
I also start to add the decorations to the snowman. Use Chocolate as a glue.
#1. I place a chocolate coin on top of his head, this is the brim of his hat.
#2. Next I unwrap a reeses peanut butter cup (Mini)and with a little chocolate smeared on the p-b cup ( this act like glue) I put that on top of the brim upside down, plus I add a rollo candy to put on top of the p-b cup. This makes the hat taller.
#3. I take the pull apart licorice (cherry)and pull off 3 strands. I make the strand long enough for a scarf, and wrap it around his neck. I then pull the ends apart about an inch. this is the fringe of the scarf.
#4. At k-mart I found this Santa bag of coal bubble gum which works perfect for the buttons, mouth,& eyes.
#5. Airheads work great for the nose. Pull off a piece of the red and work it between your fingers to soften, and shape like a carrot. Put a hole on the face, add a little chocolate to the end of the carrot and stick it in the hole.
#6. For the arms I used black licorice.
I cut off 1-1/2" of the end, then I split that, don't be perfect they are suppose to be sticks.
I then split a 1/4" of the end to look like branches. Poke holes in body to stick the licorice arms into.
You can stop here, or you can take blue airheads and pull off enough to shape some blue mittens.
I WANTED BLUE MITTENS.
