CARAMEL APPLES,
TASTES OF SWEET, TART, & JUICY!

CARAMEL APPLES are the one thing that
we just never out grow. Thank goodness for that.

This beautiful shiny red fruit has always been
a very tempting fruit.

You can do just about anything to it and it comes
out absolutely delicious.

To name a few; caramel apples, pies, cakes, jams,
cookies, cider, apple crisps, applets, etc.

.................................................................

We watch these trees turn from leafless into
these beautiful apple blossoms.

Everyone is waiting for those beautiful apples
to appear.

It is truly unbeliveable all the stir that these apples create.
Our town is full to the top with tourist, wanting to be able
to go to the orchards and pick their own apples.

They have come to eat caramel apples, to have a slice of
pie-ala-mode. To take home a jug of apple cider, and
to spend the day in our town, just relaxing, shopping,
having lunch or dinner. (Last count we had about 18
resturants.)

Well the trees have went
through being leafless,
to having blossoms, then
to the tree filled with
luscious crisp apples.

Now let's do something with them:
Let's make us some

.....delicious, crunchy, sticky, caramel apples......

INGREDIENTS:(Basic Recipe)
1 Pound Vanilla caramels(56)
2 Tbls. water
Dash of Salt
6 wooden skewers
6 Crisp, medium apples

Melt caramels with water in double boiler, stirring
frequently until smooth. Add Salt.
Stick a skewer into blossom end of each apple.Dip apple in the caramel syrup and turn until apple is
completely coated.
(If syrup is too stiff, add a few drops of water.)

Now comes all of the options that you can do.

#1. While Caramel is sticky, roll the bottom of apple
in peanuts, (use whatever kind of nuts that you like.)

#2. Take candy bars, snickers, twixs, milkway, whatever kind
that you like. Break apart, or crush them in a bowl. Then
roll your candy apple in the candy bars.

#3. If you want to get creative, stick gummy worms on your
caramel apple.

#4. Take all of the above and combine them and roll your
apple in all of them.

#5. Certain kinds of cookies that are crushed makes a good
topping.

#6. Try dipping into melted chocolate like in this picture,
and drizzle white chocolate around it.

After you have made your very own kind of
candy apple, set it on a piece of waxed
paper on a cookie sheet, and place
in the refrigerator to firm up.

Eat and Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
